With deep sorrow, a family mourns the loss of a beautiful, vibrant life. After a heroic fight with cancer, Melitta Klara Jenter, nee Hirsch, passed away peacefully at her home in Browns Mills, NJ on February 25, 2017 in the arms of her husband, still in love with her after 41 years of marriage, James Ryan Jenter, Sr. Their marriage was a bond of love, devotion, and ftiendship. Their cherished family includes two adult children, Melanie Ilse Jenter of Yardley, PA and James Ryan Jenter, Jr. of Voorhees, NJ. Melitta was more than a Mother to her children. She was their biggest champion, a role model of what it means to be a caring supportive parent, and most of all she was their best friend.
She also leaves behind her beloved daughter-in-law, Christine Jenter and son-in-law, Craig Beske, as well as her three grandsons, her 'babies', Landon Jenter (11), Chase Jenter (8), and Logan Beske (3). These boys brought her so much joy, and she brought so much joy to them. Melitta Is also survived by her brothers, Gerd Hirsh, Gunter Hirsch, Hans Hirsch and sister-in-law, Brunhilde Hirsch, wife of her late brother Ernst Hirsch all of Soetern, Germany.
Melitta's kindness and compassion left a positive impact on generations of students in the Pemberton Township School District through her work as a crossing guard and aide. Melitta had a great personality and could make anyone feet at ease. She had a smile that could light up any room and a laugh only matched by her great sense of humor. She had a life full of love and will be forever missed.
