WILLIAM ROY BATCHELOR

      William R. Batchelor, 87, of Audubon, NJ passed away suddenly on Friday 2-26-21 from complications during a medical procedure at Virtua Marlton Hospital in Marlton, NJ. Thankfully, especially during these very difficult pandemic times, his wife and loved ones were able to be at his bedside during his time of passing.
     William is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Mary Louise. He was "Dad" to Ronald (Nanci), Thomas, Steven (Lisa), Susan McFadden (Chris), and Daniel (Bobbi-Lyn). He was "Pop" to Susan Kay (John), Karey Sigmund-Nece (Robert), and to the late Robert H. Timmons, Jr. Bill will forever be "Pop Pop" to Alexander Batchelor, Brett Sigmund, Christopher McFadden, Colin Batchelor, Davis Batchelor, Daniel Kay, Devon Batchelor, Ian Batchelor, John Kay, Kelly Sigmund, Michael Sementilli and Samantha Sementilli. He is predeceased by his parents, Roy and Mary Batchelor, and his sister Marie Townsend.
     Bill lived many years in Palmyra and Cinnaminson, and most recently in Maple Shade. Bill was retired from Sears and Roebuck after 35 years, but never stopped working whether he was delivering flowers for Riverside Floral Company or working as a greeter at funeral services for Lankenau Funeral Homes. He was an active member at Bethany Lutheran Church for many years where he held many service positions. He coached little league, was a Boy Scout Leader, and actively cheered on all the kids activities whether it be football, hockey, soccer or softball. He was there and loved every minute of it. He enjoyed many years of going to the Indianapolis 500, doing crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble with Mary Lou, following the Phillies, and supporting his beloved Philadelphia Eagles. Bill was a very kind and giving man who always put others before himself.
     Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 9:30 am with a service at 11:30 am at Bethany Lutheran Church, 617 Morgan Avenue, Palmyra, NJ. Graveside burial service will follow at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, Cinnaminson.
