December 19, 1951 ~ October 12, 2021 (age 69)


      Wayne Doebener Sabin, 69, of Juliustown, New Jersey died peacefully at home on October 12th, 2021. Wayne was born to Frederick Sabin and Marjorie Doebener Sabin on December 19th, 1951 in Middletown, Connecticut.

Wayne graduated from Woodrow Wilson High school in 1969, and received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1973. He worked for Mystech Associates and Raytheon before going to Lockheed Martin, where he spent over 30 years, ending his career as a Principal Member of Engineering Staff. Wayne was a holder of four patents and was the leader of the design team of the National Weather Radar Testbed in Norman, Oklahoma. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church where he served as a vestry member and was very active with the food pantry. Wayne was also a member of Saint John's Lodge #2, AF&AM in Middletown, Connecticut.

Wayne was predeceased by his parents and his son, Andrew Sabin. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lynn; his children, Elizabeth and Scott of Juliustown NJ, Kyle of Lansing MI, and Catherine of Magnolia NJ; his brother and sister-in-law Frederick and Doris Sabin of Bound Brook, NJ; his nephew and niece, Glenn (Suzannah), and Cynthia, and three great-nephews and nieces.

There will be a visitation at Lankenau Funeral home in Pemberton, New Jersey on Friday, October 29th from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. The memorial service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church in Pemberton, New Jersey on Saturday, October 30th at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Grace Church Food Pantry; 43 Elizabeth Street, Pemberton, NJ 08068
