Wilbur Russell Emrick, Jr, 82, of Southampton Township, New Jersey passed away unexpectedly on October 23, 2021, following a long battle with heart disease.
He was born to the late Wilbur “Bill” and Eliza Emrick and grew up in Paulsboro, New Jersey. He married his wife Helene and they spent 62 years together until his death.
Russell was a former resident of Edgewater Park, NJ and Paulsboro, NJ, and a member of the Freemasons and Lions Club. He previously served on the Edgewater Park Township Board of Education. He was an avid golfer who also enjoyed bowling, card games, and dabbling in the stock market.
He is survived by his wife, Helene; son Russell Emrick III (Janine); daughters Helen and Virginia Emrick; grandsons Russell (Beth), Adam (Amy), Timothy, and Charles Emrick; great-grandsons Will and Asher Emrick; brother James S. Emrick (Cyndy); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A viewing will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021, at 1:30 p.m., followed by a short service at 3 p.m. at Lankenau Funeral Home, 57 Main Street in Vincentown, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association.
