Sandra Lee Nugent, known affectionately as Sandy, passed away on January 26, 2024 at the age of 78 years.
Sandy grew up in Tewksbury, Massachusetts but spent most of her life in New Jersey raising her family. She was a resident of Browns Mills at the time of her death.
Sandy enjoyed going to the senior center in Browns Mills and spending her days chatting with her friends as she was on the Sunshine Committee. She loved Cape Cod and spending her evenings watching sunsets on the beach with her sister and cousin. Sandy enjoyed going to San Diego visiting with her son and his family and taking adventures and eating different types of food. She enjoyed spending Sundays with her daughter and son-in-law watching Nascar races. As she always cheered on Martin Truex Jr. and she loved going to see the dirt races in New Egypt. Sandy was a friend to all animals especially her cat Tiger and her grand puppies Bronx and Bruno.
She loved to read and work on her ancestry. But most of all Sandy loved her Grandchildren. She would never miss an event or outing. She would always be seen showing pictures or talking about “her boys” as she referred to her grandsons Joseph and Dominick.
Sandra is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Mary Nugent. She is survived by her daughter Janice Carothers (Bob); son Brian Reeves (Rebecca); sister Darlene Faherty (Richard); cousin Susan Reiter (Jerry); her seven grandchildren: Joseph Reeves, Dominick Carothers, Kayliana, Alyssa and Ariana Reeves, Decem Segura, and Ciro Reeves (due in March); nieces Sarah and Kathryn Faherty; nephews Daniel and Adam Faherty; two great nieces and many close friends.
Sandy will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The visitation Sandra will be held on February 1, 2024, Thursday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at The Lankenau Funeral Home, 370 Lakehurst Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015 followed by the memorial service at 4:00 PM. She will be buried at the Tewksbury Cemetery in Tewksbury, Massachusetts at a later date.
