Robert A. Miehling

Robert Anthony Miehling of Browns Mills, age 73 years, passed away March 17, 2018 at Virtua Voorhees Hospital. He was a native of New Hyde Park, NY and resident of Browns Mills since 1983.

Bob was a retired Air Craft Mechanic Superintendent and Air Reserve Technician for the United States Air Force at McGuire AFB.

He served on active duty in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and continued his career as an Air Force Reservist unit his retirement as a Chief Master Sergeant in 1992. He continued his career in US Civil Service until his retirement in 1999.

Bob was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association and the Eden-Stanley American Legion Post #294, Pemberton and was a former member of the Country Lakes Fire Company and was a former Scout Master for the Boy Scout Troop #145, Browns Mills.

He enjoyed crafting and was known as Bob the Builder and enjoyed cooking and was known as The Chef.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Helen Miehling and infant son Kevin Robert Miehling.

Beloved husband of Mary Theresa (Nee Danbury) “Terri”, dear father of Michele A. Miehling and Mathew J. Miehling and dear brother of Ruth Friedman & husband Charles, Doris Gerken and Donald Miehling & wife Judy.

He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends of Robert’s family are invited to his viewing and visitation 6:00 to 9:00PM Thursday evening and 8:45 to 9:45AM Friday morning at The Lankenau Funeral Home, 370 Lakehurst Road, Browns Mills where there will be a funeral service for Bob at 9:45 AM.

Interment with Air Force Honors will be in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Arneytown, North Hanover Twp.
