Rita Marie Tucholski of Moorestown, Age 86 years, passed away February 17, 2018 after a brief illness.
She was a native of Camden and resident of Moorestown since 1966.
Rita was a Credit Account Manager for Sears & Roebuck Co. in Camden and later in Moorestown retiring in 1987 after 35 years. Then for the past 28 years she was employed by Riverside Floral Co, a job she truly loved.
She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Moorestown.
On Sundays she would often make her way down to the Atlantic City Casinos with her lady friends.
Rita was a very social person who was not afraid to strike up a conversation about the weather forecast or the latest news on TV. She had a great love of animals and was always ready to tell you about her sister’s dog Max the Bichon.
She loved to go out to eat, never missed a party, and she had an affinity for Asiago Bagels, which she would buy every week at Panera Bread for herself and her friends.
Rita was proud of her Polish heritage and was the daughter of Teofil and Genevieve Tucholski. She would always tell you the pronunciation of her last name Tucholski was Too Cold To Ski.
Beloved sister of Lucille Van Newenhizen, and dear Aunt of John, James, David, Linda Marie, Marianne, Jeanette, Paul and Michael. She is also survived by several other nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews.
There will be a viewing and visitation 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday evening (this evening), at The Lankenau & Van Newenhizen Funeral Home, 334 Chester Ave., Moorestown.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM Thursday morning at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 42 W.Main St., Moorestown.
Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Moorestown.
