RICHARD (Rick) W. SHOCH died August 18, 2020 (66 years old). The second son of James R. and Teresa Shoch

He is survived by his wife Janet (Wean), daughter Eileen Shetzline (Matt), two grandsons Matthew, 9 and John, 7. ; Brother James and two younger sisters Teresa Shoch (Bobby Domard) and Margaret Plasmier (Sean) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rick served in the US Army Reserve as a member of the 369th Engineer Battalion (firefighters) rising to the rank of Specialist 4th Class.

Most proud of his 50 years as a member in the Quaker City String Band of the Philadelphia Mummers, Rick was an excellent saxophone player and lifelong friend to all the guys in the 3rd floor gang. In later life he became somewhat of an internet Karaoke singer and developed a sizeable group of followers and admirers. He and Janet toured the Caribbean extensively during their many Royal Caribbean cruises and marveled at the wonders of Alaska on a particularly memorable Celebrity cruise a few years ago.
