RICHARD MARVIN Obituary

Richard (Tony) Lee Marvin, age 82, of Pemberton, New Jersey passed away peacefully at home on February 15, 2023, with family at his side.

Tony was born in Bath, New York and grew up in a large family of 14 and learned the ropes of crop and dairy farming. Before graduating from Romulus High School as Class Vice President he achieved the rank of first seat clarinet player for New York State.

After high school Tony joined the U.S. Army during which time he advanced through the ranks, receiving many awards including three bronze stars. He spent most of his military career in Germany where he met his wife, Inge. 20 years later and two tours in Vietnam, Tony retired in Pemberton Township.

Many knew Tony as the "Tax Man", owner of Marvin and Associates for over 35 years. Outside of work he was a die hard Giants fan who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and buying and restoring vehicles and boats. Deep down Tony was a family man. From the scooters, jet skis, football games, and race cars, Tony loved providing a wonderful life for his family.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ingeborg (Inge) Marvin, daughters Diane (Dennis) Massa, Kathleen (Paul) Knaub, and Richard (Dawn) Marvin Jr. Grandchildren Danielle (Richard) Arvan, Matthew (Kayla) Knaub, Richard Marvin Ill, Cassady Marvin, great-granddaughter Olivia Arvan and a great-grandson on the way. Along with many aunts, uncles, and half siblings.
