Patricia O'Day Bowman passed away peacefully at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly, NJ on Tuesday March 28,2023. She was 90 years of age and the last of her 6 siblings. Pat was born to Frederick and Christine (Hansen) Mueller on November 16,1932 in Watertown, South Dakota. She moved with her family to Elko, Nevada where she would grow up and graduate from Elko High School. After graduating she would move to Clearfield, Utah finding employment at Hill Air Force Base.
Patricia, while working on the base, was introduced by her oldest friend Joyce Russell to Airmen first class Ronald Alden Bowman, they would marry on September 3, 1955 in the Hill AFB chapel. Pat became a full time military spouse. They would go on to have 3 children Sally, Scott, and Susan. While married they would live in Utah, Arkansas, Japan, New Jersey, and New Mexico.
In 1973 after returning to Wrightstown, New Jersey and to McGuire Air Force Base she went back to having a professional career working as a Contractor Specialist for the 305th Contracting Office on base where she would retire in 1998. For 49 years she enjoyed a quiet life in Wrightstown traveling and enjoying family and her closest friends Harold & Deanna, Judy, Kathlene, Bill, Marry Ann, Martha, Linda, Doris, Amy, Mary Jane and Christine.
Patricia is survived by her daughter Sally Bowman-Jones (grandson Clay Jones), Scott Bowman (grandson Brayton Bowman), grandson Ronald Sapp and numerous nephews and nieces. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ronald, 6 siblings and daughter Susan Bowman-Sapp.
A service will be held at Lankenau Funeral Home, 31 Elizabeth Street Pemberton, New Jersey on Monday April 3 viewing from 2:00 - 3:30 pm. Funeral services from 3:30 - 4:00 pm. Interment will be private at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
