Oscar D. Rivera, a retired photographer, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2018. He was 89. Born Jan. 6, 1929 in Guayama, Puerto Rico, Oscar was raised in the Bronx, N.Y. He worked many years for Alston School Photography and as a freelance photographer. Oscar is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dolores; son, Rey; daughter, Margarita; brother, Ralph; sister, Pura Torres; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Lankenau Funeral Home, 370 Lakehurst Rd., Browns Mills, N.J. A special Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at St. Ann’s Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice, 5 Eves Drive #300, Marlton, NJ 08503.
