NEWLIN EVANS Jr. Obituary

     Newlin “Junior” I Evans Jr., age 75 years, of Browns Mills, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

     Junior was born on October 14, 1949 to Newlin I Evans Sr. and Edith Ross in New Jersey. Junior was a hardworking man throughout his entire life. He worked at Ocean Spray as a forklift operator for approximately 8 years, Good Year as an automotive mechanic for over 20 years, and Aspen Hills doing groundskeeper/maintenance work until present day.

     Junior met his wife Sharon Evans in 1970 and they went on to have two children, Sherry Osorio and Newlin Evans III.

     Junior lit up any room he was in with his sense of humor and love for telling jokes. He loved outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, playing horse shoes, and taking trips to the Barnegat light house. His favorite television show to watch was “The Three Stooges”, and Sundays were always dedicated to watching football. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

     He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sharon Evans; his daughter, Sherry Osorio (Norberto); his son Newlin Evans III (Tracy); his grandchildren Kevin Osorio (Lisa), Jessica Osorio (Tyler), Shelby Evans, Newlin Evans IV and Joseph Evans; and his three great grandchildren, Colin, Liam and Sophia.

     The viewing and visitation for family and friends will be held at The Lankenau Funeral Home located at 370 Lakehurst Rd. Browns Mills, NJ 08015 on December 9, 2024, Monday morning from 9:00am until 11:00am followed by Junior's Funeral Service at 11:00am. The burial will be in Junior Mechanics Cemetery, Tabernacle, Southampton Twp.
