MAUDE IRENE MESLER

     Maude  Irene  Mesler, age 75 years, of Leisuretowne, Southampton, NJ passed away on August 18, 2025, Monday evening at her home after a long illness.

     Maude  was born and a native of the Bronx, New York City.  She graduated college from Fordham University there and then received her Masters Degree from Manhattan University. Maude later lived in Bronxville and Irvington, West Chester Co., NY.  She has been a resident of Leisuretowne since 2008.

     Maude was employed as a manager for New York Bell Telephone, now Verizon in New York City.  After retiring she returned to school and received her Masters Degree in Education.  She then worked as a preschool teacher in New Rochelle, NY and as a docent/guide at Sunnyside Manor in NY.  She loved to travel, was an avid reader and enjoyed needlepoint and crewel needle work.  Maude was a member of the Mah Jongg Game Group in Leisuretowne and participated in many tournaments with the group.

     Maude was predeceased by her loving partner Michael P. Madison in 2022.  She is survived by cousins Joan Stern & her husband Robert, Veronica Pizzola, Peter Pizzola and John Mesler.  Maude is also survived by her brother-in-law Peter Madison & his wife the Reverend Cooper Conway Madison and many other relatives and close friends. 

     Visitation for Maude's relatives & friends will be held at The Lankenau Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Vincentown, Southampton Twp., NJ 08088 on August 26, 2025, Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00 PM followed by her  Memorial Service at 2:00 PM. The final interment will be held privately.
