MARIO M. FERNANDEZ Sr.

     Mario M. Fernandez Sr. of Pemberton, age 78 years passed away August 12, 2023 at home. He was a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico and a resident of Lake Valley, Pemberton since 1984.

     Mario was a decorated Veteran of the U.S. Army where he served for 20 years retiring as a Sergeant First Class. He served in the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart. After retiring from the U.S. Army he became a Postal employee at the U.S. Postal Distribution Center in Hamilton where he worked another 20 years. He was a member of the Eden Stanley American Legion Post # 294 Pemberton.
     Beloved husband of Providencia, dear father of Ana Rosa, Mario M. Fernandez and Jessika Fernandez, Grandfather of 8 .
     There will be a viewing for Mario from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM Thursday at The Lankenau Funeral Home, 31 Elizabeth St., Pemberton Borough where his funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM.
     Interment with Military Honors will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Pemberton Twp
