Linda McPherson, age 69 years, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, lost her valiant battle with cancer on Sunday, November 10, 2024.
Linda had an amazing gift of connecting with people. This gift made her a staunch advocate for those who deal with mental health issues or special needs. Her passion was to help the get what they needed through her professional jobs and with her volunteering efforts. Her main focus was always children. Her compassion and dedication had no bounds or limits.
Linda's smile lit up a room and made her approachable. This drew everyone who came in contact with her. Her husband Al fell in love with her smile. Her nurses developed a relationship through that inviting smile.
The true light of Linda's life was her family. Her devotion to her family and friends was unwavering. Her husband Albert A. Mittelstaedt Jr. was the love of her life. The pride and love she had for her sons Charles "Kenny" and Kevin McPherson was only matched by their love and respect for her. Karolyn, Kevin's wife, was a happy and welcomed addition to the family. The only thing that surpassed the love for her children were the love and devotion to her grandsons, Keith, Kaden & Konner McPherson. When Linda married Al, she received 8 bonus kids, Albert A. III, Eric, Daniel, Michael, James & Ellen Mittelstaedt, Bernadette Perry & Rebecca Baum and 8 bonus grandchildren Eric Jr., Daniel & Ryan Mittelstaedt; Kathleen & Sheila Lowery; Amy, Megan & Emily Mittelstaedt.
Linda's brother Jim Check (wife Donna) and sister Laurel D. Sweet (husband Larry) maintained a close relationship even with the distance of miles between them. She loved and respected their advice and time spent on vacations together. She loved her two nephews and niece.
Linda loved her friends with as much passion as her family.
Linda is predeceased by her father James Check and her mother Louise (nee Miller) Check.
The interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hightstown, NJ.
All are invited to the repass on November 21, 2024, Thursday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at The Eden-Stanley American Legion Post # 294, Pemberton Fort Dix Rd., Pemberton Twp.
