On May 7, 2023, Kiyoshi Wade went home to live in eternal peace with the Lord. Kiyoshi is preceded by her husband Johnnie Q. Wade, Sr.
Born in Japan on January 9, 1936, Kiyoshi had a great childhood and enjoyed running track, playing basketball, and volleyball all while helping her mother and father run their family businesses. Kiyoshi was ambitious and dreamed of one day traveling to America. She loved sports and aspired to teach physical education.
After attaining her Associates degree, Kiyoshi married Johnnie Q. Wade, Sr. and they journeyed to the United States. As a military wife traveling to various states and countries, Kiyoshi dedicated her life with pride and joy to raising her children.
Later in life, working at Deborah Hospital as a Supervisor, Kiyoshi enjoyed the interaction and helping others. Coworkers and patients respected Kiyoshi for her work ethic and dedication to hospitality. After retiring, Kiyoshi enjoyed gardening, traveling, and attending her children’s and grandchildren’s events. She would always say that her children and family were her life! Kiyoshi was called ‘Mamasan’ or Mommy by her children and others who loved her. She was known as ‘Obachon’ by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Kiyoshi is survived by her six children, Johnnie Q. Jr, Alice and Dennis (spouse), Roy and Linling (spouse), Lessie and Garry Sr. (spouse), Bobbie and Theresa (spouse) and Anna. Her grandchildren Shawn, Johnnie III, Jonille, Leanna, John, Adalia, Angelica and Mike (spouse), Senzo, Lori, Leigh-Ann, Amy, Keanna, Garry III. Kiyoshi believed “that what the enemy meant for bad, God will turn for good. God is always covering our family, and through prayer we can overcome any obstacles”. Kiyoshi left for a better place and our heart aches. She will always be remembered in our hearts and minds. We miss you tremendously, we’ll always cherish the moments we shared, and we will love you forever!
