KATHLEEN MARTINELLI Obituary

Kathleen A. Martinelli, 87 years, of Pemberton, NJ, passed peacefully on May 15, 2023, at Samaritan Hospice Mt. Holly, surrounded by her loving and devoted family.

She was born on March 17,1936 in Limerick, Ireland, where she spent the first 18 years of her life. In 1955, she met and married her beloved husband, the late Mario A. Martinelli in England, then proudly made the United States her permanent home in 1956.

She is survived by her four children, Deborah of Pemberton, N.J.; David of Tavares, FL.; Jeffrey of Harrisburg, P.A.; and Marie Elaina Bencivenga (Michael) of Hainesport, N.J.; four grandchildren, Maria Elaina Martinelli (Damian Sanchez Moreno) of Malaga, Spain; Brandon Thomas (Jenna) of Marlton, N.J.; Brittany Martinelli of Pemberton, N.J.; Courtney Bradshaw (Nick) of Wenonah, N.J.; five great grandchildren, Emersyn, Adaleigh, and Tucker Bradshaw, and Zachary and Luke Thomas; step-grandsons Kristofer Renaud and Austin Weinberg. She is additionally blessed with a large family back in her homeland of Ireland as well as England, and many more step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

She was a long-time resident of Browns Mills, N.J. and a retired waitress who worked for over 30 years at the McGuire A.F.B. Officers’ Club. After retirement she went on to work another 10 years at the Pemberton Township schools. She treasured faith, family, and friendship above everything, and centered her life around the people she loved most. She was an unforgettably vibrant woman with an enormously generous spirit, a charming sense of humor, and a zest for life that she delighted in sharing with everyone she met. She will be forever missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited for visitation at The Lankenau Funeral Home, 370 Lakehurst Rd., Browns Mills, N.J. from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. on Monday morning, May 22, 2023.  Mass to follow at St. Ann’s Church, 22 Trenton Rd., Browns Mills, N.J.
