KARL HECK Obituary

On Sunday, December 13th, Karl William Heck, a devoted and loving Uncle to five
nephews and nieces, suddenly passed away at the age of 55.
Karl was born on December 18th, 1964 in Delran, New Jersey to Charles and Reva (Kerr) Heck and was the younger brother to Carla (Casne) and Lynn (Kingkiner). Karl was a lifelong
resident of the Cambridge section of Delran and graduate of Delran High School
Class of 1983. Karl worked as an electrician since 1984. Karl was an active
member of the IBEW Union 351 and IBEW Union 194 and most recently worked
for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority as a Technology Device Technician.
Karl had a passion for the outdoors; he loved to ski, hike, crab, fish, canoe, travel,
and horseback ride, and he loved to include his nephews and nieces in these
activities. Every year, Karl would organize a summer trip to the Mauriceville River
for a day of canoeing and crabbing. In 2002, Karl purchased a horse, Princess
Maddie, at Saddlebrook Ridge Equestrian Center for his niece to ride and never
missed a riding competition. In 2010, Karl took several nephews and nieces on a
weeklong trip to Park City, Utah to ski the Rocky Mountains.
Karl was also known for his sense of humor and loved to play a good joke. He
once bought a can of fermented fish to give his nephews as a Christmas present
and roared with laughter when they opened the can.
Karl was preceded in death by his father, Charles Heck, his mother, Reva (Kerr),
and sisters Carla (Casne) and Lynn (Kingkiner). He is survived by his brother-in-law Thomas Casne, his nephews and nieces Scott, Brett, Erin Casne, Austin and Maria Kingkiner along with many cousins, in-laws, and friends.
