Joan Marilyn Giandonato (nee Neiderberger) went home to be with the Lord peacefully on January 10th, 2025 just shy of her 94th birthday.
Joan was born on January 15, 1931 in Philadelphia, the daughter of George and Clara Neiderberger. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years Rudolph Giandonato and 4 siblings.
Joan is survived by six children; Joseph Giandonato, Lorraine Spinogatti, Denise Paniconi, Carolyn Giandonato, Margarita Steinbach & Robert Giandonato; eight grandchildren; Stephen, Vincent, Dominic, Dean, Carmella, Clara, Noel & Elizabeth. She is also survived by four great grandchildren; Summer, Beau, Koen & Landrie with a fifth one on the way and her brother Richard Neiderberger.
Joan was actively faithful in her church serving on church council and singing in the choir for many years. She was devoted to her family and was known for her baking skills which were passed down through many generations. Her wit and contagious smile will be remembered by all who knew her. She made a lot of people laugh. She will be sadly missed.
The viewing and visitation for Joan's family and friends will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 218 S. Fairview & Pavilion Sts., Riverside, NJ 08075 on January 17, 2025, Friday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 AM followed the service at 11:00 AM.
Memorial contributions in memory of Joan may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Riverside.
