Henry J. Positano (Hank) of Mount Laurel, age 93, passed away January 22nd, 2023.
Hank was a native of Chicago where he met his beloved wife Margaret. Hank worked for the Eastern
Railroad Association which brought him to New York City in the late 70’s while residing in Hamilton
Square, NJ. Hank retired in 1986 as General Manger and moved to Mount Laurel where he spent the
remainder of his life.
Hank was a die-hard Cubs fan and celebrated his Cubs World Series win at the age of 86. He was also an
avid Bears, Blackhawks and Notre Dame fan. If he wasn’t watching one of his teams, you would find him
watching old movies or listening to music. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends
frequenting many bars and restaurants.
Hank was predeceased by his wife of 60 years Margaret. He is survived by his children Michael Positano
& wife Kim of Elkton, MD, Lori Hanson and husband Gregory of Lumberton and Susan Positano of
Delran, devoted grandfather of Lauren & Kevin Hanson and Mathew Jackson & wife Ashleigh and great
grandchildren Karleigh and Harper.
Relatives and friends of Hank’s family are invited to his Memorial Service 11:00 AM Saturday morning,
January 28th at Lankenau Funeral Home, 303 Bridgeboro Street, Riverside, where the family will
receive their friends between 10:00 and 11:00 AM.
Interment will be private at BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, North Hanover Twp.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
