It is with immense sadness that we share the news that our beloved mother, Gwen Gardner, 81, of Medford NJ passed away suddenly in her home on September 5th, 2025. Gwen was born to George and Merle Reeves on November 22, 1943 in Riverside, NJ.
Gwen had a big personality in a small package. She had an impact on each person she interacted with. She was courageous, inspirational, kind, loving, funny, full of joy, a ball of fire that showed us what can be accomplished with determination and persistence. She lived her life to the fullest. She loved her daytrips to the beach, Friday night dancing at the Knights of Columbus, Parx Casino and shopping at Kohls and Boscovs. She also loved eating out at her favorite restaurants. Her greatest joys and accomplishments were the love of her children, Stacey, Michelle, Amy, Michael and her grandchildren Kiley, Benjamin, Isabella and Emma. She has many great friends whom she loved and everyone who knew her, loved her. Gwen’s reach was as far as it was wide, and she was cherished deeply by many.
Gwen was predeceased by Merle Sozio, Howard “Grimmie” Sozio, George Reeves, her husband Howard Gardner and her sisters Patricia Powell and Shirley Luddy. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Stacey A. Cerak and husband Paul F. Cerak, Michelle M. DeFelice and her partner Kevin Sitzler, Amy L. Gress and husband Kurt Gress, Michael S. DeFelice and wife Denise McGee, her grandchildren Kiley M. DeFelice, Benjamin A. Gress, Isabella R. Cerak and Emma G. Cerak. Gwen also leaves behind loving nieces, nephews and many friends.
The Memorial Service will be held at The Lankenau Funeral Home located at 303 Bridgeboro St., Riverside, NJ 08075 on September 13, 2025, Saturday morning.
