Elfriede C. (Merz) Downer

    Elfriede Christine Downer of Lake Valley, Pemberton, age 87 years, passed away November 17,2018.

    She was a native of Germany and resident of Pemberton Twp. since 1978.

    Elfriede was a homemaker, loved animals and liked to knit and garden.

    She was formerly employed by the Helen A. Fort Middle School, Pemberton Twp. for 15 years.

    Beloved wife of John Harris Downer, dear mother of Melvin Merz, Robert Merz  and Annette Downer, and devoted grandmother of Ruby Merz.

    Relatives and friends of Elfriede’s  family are invited to her Memorial Service 11:00 AM. Wednesday morning November 28,2018 at The Lankenau Funeral Home, 31 Elizabeth St., Pemberton Borough where her family will receive their friends between 10:00 and  11:00 AM.  Cremation was private and her ashes will be interred at the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown at a later date.
