EVERETT PEARSON TAYLOR Jr.

     Everett Pearson Taylor Jr., 80, passed peacefully on July 13, 2025, at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly, surrounded by his loving family.

     He was the heart of our family, funny, playful, kind, and full of life. A man who lit up every room he walked into, he loved fiercely and without hesitation. His laughter was the kind that stuck with you, and his joy was infectious.

     He worked his way up through Trap Rock Industries, but his true passion was dirt racing at New Egypt Speedway. He proudly served his country in Vietnam and carried that strength with him throughout his life.

     A master of all things mechanical, Everett could fix and race anything with wheels. His Harley was his freedom, and he rode it with a spirit that couldn’t be tamed.

     But more than anything he loved his family. Deeply loyal, and without question. He was our protector, our comic relief, our anchor. A genuine soul with calloused hands and a golden heart.

     Everett is survived by his wife, Teane Guyer-Taylor. He was preceded in death by his loving first wife, Eleanor Jean Taylor. He leaves behind his brother Charles Taylor. His three beloved children: Katherine Steinberg (Eric), Pamela Taylor, and Everett Taylor (Carrie).

     He was a proud Poppop to Amber Hurley (Charles), Edward Tustin (Brianne), and Michael Tustin, and a cherished Great-Poppop to Christopher and Evelyn Hurley.

     He is also survived by extended family: Teane Guyer (Steve), Kenny Guyer (Karen), Nelson Walker (Terry), Lisa Wood (Dan) and Melissa Delgado (Matt). He was a beloved “Pop E” to Alex and Adam Delgado.

     We’ve lost our brightest light, but we carry his fire forward.

     Services will be held on Friday, July 25th, from 11am to 1pm at The Lankenau Funeral Home, 31 Elizabeth St., Pemberton, NJ  08068.
