ELIZABETH L. ("Betty") HUGHES

     Elizabeth  Louise  Hughes, "Betty", nee Sauer, age 86 years, of Delran, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, March 15, 2026 in Cinnaminson.

     Betty was born on November 2, 1939 and a native of Philadelpia, PA.  She was the daughter of Wilhelm Sauer and Elizabeth Bar.  Betty was a longtime resident of Pennsauken and also lived in Sicklerville before moving to Delran 10 years ago.

     Betty was employed as a certified nurse's aid at Cooper University Hospital in Camden from 1977 to 1985.  She also worked for the Salvation Army serving senior lunches.  She enjoyed watching the wildlife wherever she might be and she was a fan of game shows.

     Betty was the wife of the late James Hughes.  She is survived by a daughter Donna L. Eble and her husband Glenn McCurdy of Delran, a son Robert T. Eble and his wife Ann of Sewell, a granddaughter Samantha Eble and her dog Zoe.  Betty was predeceased by her son Donald J. Eble and her brother Rudolph Sauer.

     Funeral services are under the direction of The Lankenau Funeral Home, 303-305 Bridgeboro St., Riverside, NJ 08075 and will be held privately by the family. The interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Park Mausoleum, Cinnaminson, NJ.
