DIANNE R. BURGESS-JONES

     Dianne  Ross  Burgess-Jones, age 65 years of Pemberton, NJ passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025 in Mt. Holly, NJ.

     Dianne was born and a native of Arlington, VA and a graduate of Wakefield High School in Arlington. She has been a resident of Pemberton Twp. for the past 30 years.  Dianne worked many jobs during her lifetime, lastly as a cook for Liberty Lake Day Camp in Bordentown retiring in 2016.  She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Wrightstown.

     Dianne was the wife of Van Jones Sr. who passed away in 2023.  She was also predeceased by 3 sisters Cynthia Alexander, Cecile Johnson and Stephanie Burgess.

     She is survived by her daughter Lawanda M. Burgess of Pasadena, MD and 2 stepsons Paris Van Jones Jr. of Washington D.C. & Curtis Jones of Columbia MD.  Dianne is also survived by 2 sisters Patricia Nixon and Laverne Harden & her husband Emanuel, 4 Grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 15 nieces & 11 nephews.

     The viewing and visitation for Dianne will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 373 Croshaw Rd., Wrightstown, NJ 08562 on May 22, 2025, Thursday morning from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon followed by the Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon.  The interment will be in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd., Arneytown, North Hanover Twp., NJ on Thursday afternoon at 1:30 PM in the chapel.
