Deborah A. Dennis, 56 years, of Browns Mills passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 19th, 2022 after her courageous battle with chronic kidney disease.
On July 28, 1966, Debbie was born to James and Shirley Mara, in Staten Island, New York. Debbie was a longtime resident of Browns Mills, NJ.
Debbie was a natural caregiver. Her compassion, dependability, and empathy was like no other. She took care of many children over the years, many of whom still refer to her as “Aunt Deb”. Debbie had a way to make every child feel loved and comforted. Debbie was an all-around kind and wonderful person. She would help anyone she came into contact with.
Debbie was famous for working at Pete’s Pizza at Columbus Farmers Market for many years. Customers were always greeted with a smile, and would stay to enjoy her spunky and friendly banter. Her bubbly personality and amazing pizza is what made many loyal customers keep coming back.
Debbie was a loving mother to Victoria Dennis, Christopher (Marina) Dennis and devoted mom-mom to the apple of her eye, her grandson Michael. Debbie was predeceased by her long time companion Michael Toomey, her parents James and Shirley Mara, her brothers James and John Mara. She is survived by her sister, Lisa (Brian) Ross and several nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Debbie also leaves behind many special close friends that were family to her and her very special friend of many years, Sonny.
In celebration of Debbie’s life, a visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Lankenau Funeral Home, 31 Elizabeth Street, Pemberton, NJ 08068. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m.at the funeral home, followed by burial procession to Odd Fellows Cemetery, 217 Odd Fellows Road, Pemberton, NJ 08068
