DAVID R. CAPEWELL

     It is with great sadness that the family of David R. Capewell announce his passing on November 15, 2021 at the age of 80 from complications of Parkinson’s disease. 

     Born in 1941 to Walter and Eleanor Capewell, David was the oldest of six children. As a child, he loved exploring and going on adventures with his brothers and sisters. David served in the US Navy after graduating high school. An inventor at heart, David was always working on a new project and was self-taught in anything from electronics to plumbing. If there was a problem that needed fixing he was the man to get it done. His natural aptitude led him to a long career as a technical engineer with RCA Labs and later SRI International. Acquaintances may have said David was a quiet man, but those who knew him best would know him for his droll humor, humble intelligence, and continual kindness. David was a longtime resident of Browns Mills. 

     David will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Marion; only daughter Maggie and son-in-law John; siblings, Danny (CarolAnne), Diane (David), Dennis (Roberta), Dawn; in-laws Mina and Gene; as well as numerous extended family members and friends. David was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Eleanor; as well as his brother Don. 

     Viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 12:30pm to 2:00 pm at The Lankenau Funeral Home, 31 Elizabeth St., Pemberton Borough where David's funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm.  Interment will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Odd Fellows Rd., Pemberton Twp.
