BARBARA V. (Venable) MADDOX

     Barbara V. Maddox passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, after surgery for a nephrectomy and a difficult rehab stay.  

     She was a loving wife of 60 years to her predeceased husband (SMSGT, retired) William Paul Maddox, Jr.   A proud Air Force dependent, she traveled the world with her husband and children, living in many US states and as far abroad as Tripoli, Libya, and Bicester, England.  She loved to recount the many stories of traveling to different locales, and said often that “she had a wonderful life.”  

     She would not want us to grieve, but rather be happy for her that she was now reunited with William, the love of her life, her predeceased daughter Leslie Blaylock (Robert), her predeceased son Mark, and welcomed by all her family members and pets that have gone before her.  

     She is survived by her loving sons Michael (Susan) and Daniel (Mariela), 6 grandchildren and their spouses, 2 great grandchildren, 4 sisters and nieces, nephews and cousins.
