     Evelyn V. Rockhill, a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, 97 years young, lifetime resident of Pemberton, NJ, was called upon by her GOOD LORD on Saturday, September 18, 2021.

Born on Retreat Road, Vincentown, NJ on February 3, 1924 to the late Caleb R. and Laura M. (Gaskill) Southard.

Evelyn was employed with First Fidelity Bank, originally starting her career in Pemberton and later transferring to a branch office in Burlington. She devotedly worked at First Fidelity Bank for 35 years until her retirement in 1989.

Evelyn was an excellent seamstress and loved to knit and crochet. Each year she traveled across the U.S or overseas to several countries, including West Germany, enjoying visits with her family. She loved experiencing many of the great wonders of the U.S, including Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, Alaska, Arizona and many other states. Evelyn also enjoyed her occasional visits to Atlantic City Casinos, accompanied by her family. She would drive her car every week, until later years, to visit sisters, brothers, grand children, great grand children and loved ones. Every one would receive their holiday or birthday card on time!

She is predeceased by her sister Esther Carpenter, two brothers Charles and John Southard and grandson Clark Alexander.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Joseph P. Rockhill, two daughters Katherine Kautz (Bruce) of Colorado, and Virginia Allen (Dave) of Arizona, one sister Jean Cook (Benjamin) of West Deptford, three grandchildren, Alvin Thomas (Karen) of Tennessee, Debra Edelen (Michael) of Barnegat, Tracey Bates (Pat) of Oregon, six great grandchildren Matthew Ebaugh, Weston Ebaugh, Chelsie Scull, Reba Scull, Ande Clark and Samantha Bloom, four great great grandchildren Dakota Fort, Evelyn Clark, Mason Ebaugh and Kamryn Bloom, nieces Sherry Discepola (John) and Kimberly Cushman, nephews Charles Southard (Beverly), Donald Southard, Charles Southard Jr. and Christopher Southard.

Family and friends may gather Monday September 27, 2021 from 10:30am to 11:30am at Lankenau Funeral Home, 31 Elizabeth Street, Pemberton, NJ 08068. A service will follow at 11:30. Burial will take place immediately following the service at 1:30pm at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Cemetery, 350 Providence Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
