Maurice Fanelli of Pemberton, age 96 years, passed away on Memorial Day, May 30th, 2016.
He was a native of Jersey City, joined the U.S. Army and traveled the world. Maurice was a retired Staff Sergeant with over 20 years in the U.S. Army and served in WWII and during the Korean War. He also was a retired foreman for U.S. Civil Service at Fort Dix.
Maurice was a member and past commander for the Eden-Stanley American Legion Post # 294, Pemberton and was also a member of the Pemberton Masonic Lodge # 199 F.& A.M., the Consistory and the Shriners.
Maurice was a very outspoken person and told it as it is, but was loved by his friends and comrades.
Beloved husband of Renata ( Mariani) for 71 years.
Relatives and friends of Maurice’s family are invited to his viewing 8:30 to 9:30 AM Monday morning at The Lankenau Funeral Home, 31 Elizabeth St., Pemberton Borough.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Monday morning at St. Ann’s Church, 22 Trenton Road, Browns Mills.
Interment with military honors will be in the BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Arneytown, North Hanover Twp.
