Florence May Wilbur of Mount Holly passed away Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, at home in her husband''s arms. She was 79.
She was a native of Trenton.
Florence always enjoyed the company of children. She was a former Den Mother for Cub Scouts pack 147 of Eastampton for many years. She was a mother to not only her children but to others.
Florence was a crossing guard and worked for the board of elections. She enjoyed creating stain glass.
She was the beloved wife of James Wilbur for 57 years; dear mother of James K. Wilbur and his wife, Enna of Mid West City, Okla., Loretta C. Wilbur and her husband, Joe of Pennsylvania, Judith A. Rogers and her husband, Thomas of Virginia, and Jeffrey A. Wilbur and his wife, Cindy of Maple Shade.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to Florences''s viewing and visitation 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at The Lankenau Funeral Home, 31 Elizabeth St., Pemberton Borough, followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m.
Cremation will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Browns Mills, NJ 08015 and St. Jude''s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
