U.S. Veteran

Adelino Ohinos Delgado (Eddie) of Browns Mills passed away May 11, 2012 at the age of 83 surrounded by his loving family.

A native of the Philippines, his career as a Sergeant First Class in the US Army spanned 23 years serving two tours of duty in both Korea and Vietnam, and one tour in Germany. After retiring as a decorated veteran with two bronze stars, Adelino worked for the Pemberton Township Water Department for 22 years.

He was a member of St. Ann''s Church and the Browns Mills Memorial VFW Post #6805, Eden Stanley American Legion Post #294, Pemberton, the Browns Mills Improvement Association, Browns Mills Senior Citizens Club, and the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #27.

Adelino was beloved husband of over 55 years to wife Lydia, and devoted father to Liberty Harshaw (Edward) of Wildwood, Dr. Nelson Stephen Delgado (Dr. MyLinh) of Eldersberg, MD, Dr. Rachel Delgado-Simmons of Winchester, VA and Karen Jarvis (Ramon) of Columbia, MD. Surviving siblings are Dolores Rivera (Oscar) of Browns Mills, and Lucrecio Delgado and Lucena Gallego of the Philippines. He will be missed by grandchildren Arris and Mystee Delgado, Adelina Simmons, and Edward, Jr., Lana and Christina Harshaw, and by great-grandsons Dominick Harshaw and Gavin Delgado. He was uncle to Rey Rivera and Rey Rivera, Jr. He also "adopted" the Campbell clan a" Sannah, Ingrid, Shawn, Arr''ell, Shanna, and Jayden.

Relatives and friends are invited to Adelino''s viewing and visitation Thursday evening, May 17th from 7to 9 p.m. and Friday morning, May 18th from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at The Lankenau Funeral Home, 370 Lakehurst Road, Browns Mills. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Friday morning at St. Ann''s Church, 22A Trenton Road, Browns Mills, followed by Interment with Military Honors at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown, North Hanover Twp.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Deborah Hospital Foundation, Home Chapter, 10 Pine Mill Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.

We the GALLEGO family regret to know the passing away of our beloved "Tiyoy Deling".we are deeply sad spcially his sister LUCENA (Guimaras phils.)to let him go and the only consolation that gives as relief is the fact that he now REST AND ETERNAL PAECE under the care of our Lord. he is now happy with the Lord... Lets as all pray for the ETERNAL REPOSE of his soul...

The OYCO Family (Edgar/Ma. Luisa) extend our deepest sympathy over the loss of ADELINO O. DELGADO. We know that GOD chose this time for Tiyoy Deling to join HIM but does not make this way easier (Tiyoy Deling) will be truly missed.
