Michael A. Drayman of Southampton. Passed away May 8th, 2012 at Samaritan Hospice, Virtua Hospital, Mt Holly. Age 94 years. Mike was a native of Media and Chadds Ford, PA and former resident of Browns Mills. Along with his family they owned and operated the Pig & Whistle Inn in Browns Mills for many years. He was a former resident of Arney’s Mount in Springfield Twp. for 32 years and resident of Southampton for the past 12 years. He was a member of the Cyrus Masonic Lodge, Pennington, NJ , the Crescent Shrine, was Past President of the Burlington Co. Shrine Club and a former Jester. He also was a member of the Kinkora Gun Club for many years. He was a retired Grounds Supervisor for Burlington Co. College and was most proud of his employment with the NJ Racing Commission after his retirement. He loved raising and racing Thoroughbred Horses.
Beloved husband of Joan C. ( Hopgood) wife of 46 years. Dear Father of Doris Whelan of Bordentown, Donna Wolverton & husband Brian of Maple Shade, Dana Drayman & wife Kathy of Eastampton, Dyanne Varga & Husband Joseph of Roebling and David Drayman and Betty of Maple Shade, Brother of Ruth Wapner of Downingtown,PA and Devoted Grandfather of Brittany, Michael, Olivia, Michael, Daria, Joseph and Summer.
Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
It was Mike’s request that he be cremated privately.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Donor’s favorite charity.
